This is for you Pepaw

(Zoey has on Vince's socks over her pants!)
My grandpa made this rocking horse for Zoey. It was waiting at our house when we got home from China and has been sitting in Zoey's room. We have tried several times to get her to ride it and she would just sit there. Well during the last week she has discovered it and how much fun it can be. All she wants to do is ride the "horsey". So Pepaw this video is for you and thank you for the "horsey" she absolutely loves it!

From Hail to .........Snow?

If you live in Alabama or know anyone that does you probably know that in the fall and spring our weather is crazy. Well this winter has been too, we don't get just a month of freezing cold, we get a day of freezing cold and then a warm day and then another cold day, then warm and so on. This few pictures sum our weather pattern up really well. Last week on Tuesday, I took these pictures of the hail on our back deck. We were under tornado warnings twice last week, with thunderstorms and hail both days as well. This small hail sounded like bullets hitting the windows of the house. After a day of rain and storms on Friday night into Saturday, we woke up Sunday morning March 1st to this. This was Zoey's first time in the snow (aside from her time in China and we didn't let her play in it then). She didn't know what to think at first, but then loved it! She ate some and then tried to share some with us. When I made her go in to get warm you would have thought I stole her ice cream cone, she was devastated. I did let her go back out for a little while, but she was a popcicle. This is our snowman, sadly he can't eat, speak, hear, see, feel, or smell because our plan was to finish him after lunch, but he fell over and died before we got back outside.Of course the snow was completely gone by 3:00 in the afternoon, but it was really fun while it lasted!
