First baby purchases

Well, as you know we have been waiting a long time now for Zoey! Last Memorial Day weekend we went to Nashville, TN to visit my best friend Tricia and her family. While we were there we went to the Cool Springs Galleria and they had a store there that sold all kinds of things from China, Japan, Taiwan, etc. We bought Zoey this dress and these little shoes. Aren't they precious! We also bought Madison some matching P.J.'s that are the same lavendar. I hope to get them matching dresses when we are China. I just can't wait to see these sweet little clothes on her. We also had gotten this great diaper bag at T.J. Maxx of all places. Me and my mom were in there last spring and just happened upon it. I was so excited!

What a week this will be!

On Saturdays Vince plays soccer with several guys who live in Springville and surrounding areas and Madison and I go to watch them kill each other by acting like they are in their teens while they play. It's really alot of fun and they have a really great time. Well, Vince has a knee injury that bothers him every once in a while after playing so he has started wearing a knee brace while he plays and this past Saturday it was really hot, so he took it off. Well, not ten minutes later he hurt that same knee blocking a goal. He is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday to have an incisional hernia repaired and now today he is going to an orthopedist to have his knee examined. It's never a dull moment in our house! Let's just pray that he won't have to have knee surgery too!

Easter 07

So here we are on Easter of this year. Although, it was cold it was a glorious Easter morning! We can dwell on how long this wait for Zoey has been, but I know all of us were so blessed to be with family that weekend; cousins, sisters, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and dogs! We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday (my dads), coloring eggs with cousins, and feeling rebirth within us knowing what Christ did for us on this day and what He has done for our salvation!

Finally Blogging

Well I have had people tell me that I needed to start a blog so here I am. I have tried to be pretty good about sending out adoption update emails to keep friends and family updated on our ever so slow process, but this way you can read it if you want to. I hope that I can do our blog justice. I have seen so many created by our friends who are waiting or who have been to get their little angels already and they do such a great job. Anyway, to start off our blog I don't have any new news for those of you who get updates from us. For anyone who happens upon this blog I'll give you a brief summary. We started our paperchase for China in June of 2005. Our dossier went to China in November and we are logged on 12-12-05. We are waiting as patiently as possible for our daughter and when I saw "patiently as possible" I mean it. It has been a very hard, emotional, and LONG process that we didn't completely expect. When we began our paperchase the wait was estimated to be 6-9 months and now here we are almost 17 months from our log in date (LID). But we will wait as long as God wants us to, we know there is a reason for the wait and it's because He has one particular special little baby picked for us, that will be a perfect fit for our family!
